MINEA (Mac app · iPhone app) · September 24, 2026
MINEA has no sign-up and no log-in. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we do not keep any value on our servers that identifies you.
The iPhone app connects only to your own Mac on the same network (or over a Tailscale network you set up yourself). The values below go to that Mac and to no third-party server, including ours.
Pairing uses a six-digit number generated by the Mac; after that, each device authenticates with its own token. Tokens are stored on the Mac with file permission 0600.
Work that needs heavier judgment is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Only what is needed for that particular task is sent. We do not store it separately.
Scanning messages and mail, looking at the screen and running study sessions are handled by a local model running on your Mac and do not leave the device. Messages from banks, brokerages and card companies are not read, and account numbers, card numbers and national ID numbers are masked out.
For things that must be looked up outside — weather, search — only the query itself is sent to that service (wttr.in, Wikipedia, Naver Search).
To count free trial runs, we record a random device number generated at install time, along with how many runs that number has used and on which dates. We do not keep your name, email address, device name or IP address, and we do not record what you asked MINEA to do.
For installer downloads we count only the number of downloads per date and country code. No value that identifies an individual is included.
All records live as files in the MINEA folder on your Mac. Deleting the app deletes them with it. Disconnecting from the iPhone app discards the token as well.
MINEA is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect information from that age group.
